Seoul's measured year divides into four clean bands. December through February is the cold, dry floor, with highs between 2°C and 5°C and only 4 rain days per month. March opens the spring ramp at 12°C, and temperatures reach 22°C by May as rain days rise from 7 to 9. The wet season arrives in June at 27°C with 12 rain days. July and August are the peak, both recording 18 rain days against highs of 30°C and 29°C. Autumn runs September through November. Temperatures fall from 26°C to 12°C, and rain days drop to 6 by November.

July and August need the most attention. Both record 18 rain days, the highest count in Seoul's measured year, against highs of 29-30°C. December and January sit at the opposite extreme with highs of 2-3°C, though their 4 rain days per month make them Seoul's driest stretch.
