Grab a left-side window heading south — the Pyrenees crossing gives you 20 minutes of dramatic alpine scenery that makes the extra travel time feel like a feature, not a cost.

Cheapest windows for flying in are mid-January through February and most of November — the city still runs at full speed, temperatures hover around 10–14°C, and you'll find restaurants in the Barri Gòtic that actually have open tables at 9 PM. Prices spike during Mobile World Congress in late February, Semana Santa, and the June-through-August corridor when US round-trip fares jump $300–400 above baseline. That said, even peak-season Barcelona is cheaper to reach than peak-season London or Paris from most US gateways.
