June in Antalya means 14 hours of daylight and water temperatures around 23°C at Konyaaltı Beach. The coastline splits east and west of the old harbour. The narrow streets between Hadrian's Gate and the marina carry the smell of grilled lamb fat and sweet nargile tobacco. Friday and Saturday nights, the rooftop bars along Hesapçı Sokak fill by 9pm and stay loud until 1am. Tuesday through Thursday the same bars are half-empty, which is better for conversation and lower prices (beer 80-120 TRY, cocktails 200-250 TRY). The harbour restaurants serve fish meze at 400-600 TRY per person with rakı, while cats weave between table legs. Sunday evenings belong to Turkish families. Hidirlik Tower park at the cliff's edge fills with picnicking groups, kids on scooters, and the clatter of backgammon dice on wooden boards. The 2nd-century tower is free to walk around at any hour.
