How events overlay

Events come from our ingested events database; venue listings synced daily from ticketing partners. Each event falls into morning, afternoon, or evening based on its start time (05:00–11:59 → morning, 12:00–16:59 → afternoon, 17:00–04:59 → evening). Midnight concerts overlay onto the previous day's evening, since a 1 AM Saturday show is really a Friday-night event.

What the planner draws on

The planner sequences your days against TTDI's per-city data: measured monthly weather for picking outdoor versus indoor days, verified opening patterns for pacing, and the same curated activity shortlists our city pages publish. It suggests structure, not a fixed script.

The pacing logic follows a simple rule our editors apply everywhere: one anchor per day, weather-proof options held in reserve, and travel days kept honest about how little fits around a check-in and a transfer.
