Getting around
KTEL buses run through Fira to Oia, Kamari, Perissa, Akrotiri, and Athinios port for 1.80-2.50 EUR per ride. Fira is the hub. The island has roughly 25 taxis total, so pre-book through your hotel or expect 30-45 minute waits in July and August. A rental car at 45-70 EUR per day gives real flexibility. Walking works within Fira or Oia but not between the two.

Late April through June and September through mid-October give you Santorini at its clearest.
