Dubrovnik's restaurant scene divides along geography. Inside the walls of the Old Town and up the slope toward Ploče, the kitchens run ceremonial: long tastings, sea views priced accordingly, tasting menus written for guests who came for the postcard. Follow the peninsula west to Lapad and Gruž, or south to Mlini, and the register changes: konobas that open for lunch and stay past midnight, pizzerias the neighbourhood uses, vegetarian rooms that would have been unimaginable here a decade ago. The list below leans into that second Dubrovnik.
