Getting around
Walk inside the walls, Libertas city buses between neighborhoods, Uber or Bolt for the airport and late nights. Dubrovnik has no metro. Stari Grad is car-free, roughly 500 meters from Pile Gate to Ploče Gate. Buy bus tickets at Tisak kiosks for about 2 EUR rather than paying the 2.50 EUR on-board fare.

May and late September through mid-October give you warm Adriatic swimming weather between 20°C and 26°C, manageable crowds on the Stradun, and hotel rates in Lapad 30-40% below their July peaks.
