Where do locals actually go in Orlando?

Mills 50, the stretch of Colonial Drive between I-4 and Bumby Avenue, is where Orlando actually lives after 6pm on weekdays. The district has about 20 Vietnamese restaurants within a half-mile strip. Lake Eola's Sunday Farmers Market runs 10am to 3pm at the north end of the park, year-round. It's the closest Orlando gets to a walkable weekend ritual. Vendors sell kettle corn, local honey from Winter Park apiaries, and produce from Zellwood. The smell of roasting corn and kettle sugar carries across the water. College Park along Edgewater Drive has the old-Orlando feel that most of the city lost to strip-mall development. Infusion Tea on Edgewater is a legitimate full-day workspace with 60+ Mbps wifi, no time limits, and tea for $4 to $6. The neighborhood has its own Publix, laundromats, and a bikeable 2-mile stretch to downtown along the West Orange Trail connector. To be fair, Orlando's heat from May through September limits walkability. You'll likely time outdoor errands before 10am or after 6pm.
