Boston's coffee culture runs on two clocks: the office-hour grind of the Financial District and Downtown Crossing, where the espresso is a tool for getting through the morning, and the weekend drift of the South End, Newbury Street, and Charlestown, where it becomes an excuse to sit still for an hour.
