Santiago for first-time visitors

The must-see in Santiago is the Chilean Museum of Pre-Columbian Art on Bandera 361, near Plaza de Armas. Founded in 1981, it holds 5,000 years of art from the Atacama to Tierra del Fuego in one colonial building. No reservation needed and the whole visit takes 90 minutes. Walk south to Santa Lucía Hill afterward for the best Andes view in the centro.
