Lidingö is a quiet island suburb across the bridge from Stockholm, and its restaurants read that way: neighbourhood rooms that feed the same regulars week after week, not destination kitchens chasing a Söder crowd. The map here tilts heavily Italian and heavily pizza, which tells you what Lidingö families have voted for with their Friday nights over the past decade. Around Baggeby, Larsberg and the Centrum stretch of Södra Kungsvägen you get the workhorse pizzerias; along Stockholmsvägen up toward the older Torsvik end you get the sit-down trattorias and a small cluster of sushi and Thai counters.
