Airport to city
Vestmannaeyjar Airport (VEY) sits about 2 km south of town on Heimaey. No buses or taxis wait at arrivals. Walk 20 minutes downhill to the harbor, or ask your guesthouse for a pickup. Most visitors skip VEY and take the Herjólfur ferry from Landeyjahöfn instead, a 35-minute crossing for around 1,500 ISK ($12).
