Getting around
Rent a car. Kauai has one main highway that wraps three-quarters of the island and dead-ends at the Na Pali Coast on both sides. The Kauai Bus connects Lihue to Hanalei and Kekaha but runs limited service, and stops sit along the highway rather than at trailheads or beaches.
