Jackson Hole eats like a mountain town that built a serious kitchen scene without announcing it: a compact grid of restaurants clustered along West Broadway Avenue and the Glenwood Street corner, most of them within a ten-minute walk of the antler arches on the town square. The map here is small on purpose. Twelve rooms cover the range a visitor needs after a day in Grand Teton or on the tram: an American room that keeps late hours for the ski crowd, an Italian trattoria that fills every night at 17:00, a steakhouse and a barbecue joint for the appetite that a full day outside earns you, and a run of Korean, Nepalese, Thai, and Polish kitchens that prove Jackson is no longer a one-note steak-and-elk town. Prices skew resort, but the cooking is honest and the addresses are easy: Broadway, Glenwood, Cache, Flat Creek Drive.
