TTDI Data License 1.0

Effective 25 August 2026 for all dataset editions published on or after this date.

1. What you may do freely

You may view, quote, cite and link to TTDI datasets, and use them for journalism, research, education and personal projects, provided each use carries attribution: the dataset's published citation line, or "Data: ttdi.net" with a link to the dataset page.

2. What requires a commercial data license

• Commercial redistribution of a dataset or any substantial portion of one, in any format.
• Bulk ingestion of dataset content into a commercial product, service or database.
• Use of dataset content in training or fine-tuning machine learning models, or in building any dataset intended for such training.

3. Clarifications

• Reading, indexing and citing ttdi.net web pages, including by AI answer engines that attribute and link their sources, is welcome and unaffected by this license.
• TTDI identifiers (city slugs, page URLs, dataset slugs) may be stored and cached freely.
• Dataset editions downloaded under a Creative Commons license before the effective date keep the license they were published under.

4. No warranty

Datasets are provided as measured, without warranty of any kind. Methodology and provenance are documented on each dataset's page.
